The generation of an original/unique solution or idea in response to the demands of the initial brief or challenges presented.

The implementation and application of new ideas. Ideas which create value for the business, the environment and society.

The overall quality of implementation, attention to detail and delivery of ideas and solutions.

Communication, visualisation and quality of the presentation. From the quality of the submitted visual assets to the project text description and how the entire project presented.

Considering a broader social perspective by addressing people-centred related issues, e.g., from big environmental concerns to smaller universal or accessible design-related needs of users.

The World Brand Design Society Student Design Awards is open for students, undergraduates and graduates of any educational programme from around the world.
Students
Student Eligibility Criteria
A student who is currently registered on any part-time or full-time educational programme from any University, College or Art School. A student who is under the age of 30 years of age upon registering for the awards.
Student Individual and Team Entries
Student may submit any previous educational course projects, personal projects and any commercial work into the competition. Students may enter individual projects, team based student projects or even work with undergraduates and graduates. Either from the same educational institution or from different educational institutions. A student who is under the age of 30 years of age upon registering for the awards.
Undergraduates
Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria
A student who has not graduated or gained a first degree qualification. Who has previously registered on any part-time or full-time educational programme from any University, College or Art School. An undergraduate who is under the age of 30 years of age upon registering for the awards.
Undergraduate Individual and Team Entries
Undergraduates may submit any previous educational course projects, personal projects and any commercial work into the competition. Undergraduates may enter individual projects, undergraduate team based projects or even work with students and graduates. Either from the same educational institution or from different educational institutions. Only two to five individuals in any one team entry.
Graduate
Graduate Eligibility Criteria
A student who has graduated and gained their first degree qualification from a part-time or full-time educational programme from any University, College or Art School. Important: Graduates can only enter the awards within three years after graduation and be under the age of 30 years of age upon registering for the awards. Graduates can be employed, self employed, unemployed or continuing education.

Graduates may submit any previous educational course projects, personal projects and any commercial work into the competition. Students may enter individual projects, team based undergraduates student projects or even work with students and undergraduates. Either from the same educational institution or from different educational institutions.

Q. Which category should I enter?
A. The World Brand Design Society Student Design Awards has two categories to choose from: If it is product-focused the enter the Consumer Brand Design (Product) section or if its service-based enter the Corporate Brand Design (Service) section.
Q. Can I enter more than one project into the awards?
A. You can submit as many projects as you want.
Q. What are the benefits of entering many projects into the awards?
A. Submitting many projects in the awards betters your chances of winning multiple awards. The World Brand Design Society also gives points and recognition to your educational institution for entering and for winning. This in turn improves your educational institutions reputation and global ranking.
Q. What work can I submit?
A. Submitted work can come from independent work created by students or from previously produced work from studies and even any commercial work.
Q. Can I enter as a team?
A. Students can enter the awards as individuals or as collective student, undergraduate or graduate teams.
Q. How many students can be in one collective team?
A. Only 2-5 students in one collective team.
Q. If I enter as a team do I get the same or more points for my educational institution and Lecturer/Professor?
A. Your educational institution and your educator get points for every student who enters and wins an award. Entering as a team means individuals are counted at individual points.
