Savsani is a yoga and wellness brand providing services and products based in ancient Ayurveda for you to help become the best version of yourself. We partnered with them over the last year to bring to life this knowledge of yoga, ayurveda and the benefits it could bring to your everyday life. Icons symbolising air, water, earth, ether and fire were created to form the basis of Kapha, pitta, vatha. The identity harked upon the Indian heritage and lineage of the founder and brought it to life via motifs, kinetic typography, animation and sound.

Brand motifs were created to evoke a sense of calm and simplicity and were inspired by Gujarati architecture, textiles and the founder’s beloved grandmother, Baa (also the namesake of the brand). With the help of traditional vintage photographs, minimal motifs and strong typography, the brand’s posters focused on singular messaging and relied heavily on the images and brand typefaces Tara and Mallory.

As a brand that had to live offline and online a succinct brand style guide was created in order to outline the various rules for application in different mediums. Each guide catered to various kinds of content- textual, photography and illustration based in mind. These were further used for their digital presence.

The main product of Savsani was it’s subscription and each animation was backed by sounds of nature, melodious Indian music. They were animated to match these sounds were crafted out of the motifs and icons created for the brand.
