Wrestling Legends Beer Range by Pim-Pam

Wrestling Legends Beer Range by Pim-Pam

In 2020 Glasgow creative studio Pim-Pam along with the illustrative work of Edinburgh based Want Some Studio created a conceptual range of beers that celebrated Wrestling Legends from the 1980s and 90s. Now, having recently caught the attention of WWE, there’s a potential opportunity for these beers to become a reality.

Colourful characters, loaded with nostalgia and a hint of dramatic storylines — the range of beers is a homage to the ‘Golden Era’ of Professional Wrestling. From the drawing style and bright pop culture colours, to the beer naming and tone of voice — each can design hosts an iconic wrestling superstar from the 1980s and 90s. The goal being to create something that people would enjoy, engage with and reminisce about as they look back at some of the trailblazers of the professional sport.

With the opportunity to make the range an official WWE licensed reality, Pim-Pam are now on the lookout for the main ingredient missing from the project — a brewery to tag-team with, that shares their vision of creating the beer range, and are willing to jump off the top turnbuckle with them to make it happen.

Pim-Pam’s Luke McCarthy said: ‘Since the initial concept phase we began to share the project online through various social channels to get the creative out there. It was picked up by a range of creative platforms and blogs, as well as the many fans of 80s and 90s wrestling who got in touch demanding these on the shelf either as beers or limited collectors items. However things began to change when we were introduced to members of the creative team at the WWE. Now, with one storyline leading to another, we’ve been ushered down the aisle with the chance to potentially make these beers an officially licensed reality.

It’s been a really fun project to work on, and we’re looking to partner with a brewery with the aim of making the range a reality. We’ve a few more of the wrestling legends in development, so depending how things go from here, we might even be able to get host a Royal Rumble!’
