Willow & Blake for Nude by Nature, Breathing Air Back Into Beauty

Growing up with an audience.

Nude by Nature has always been the go-to for clean, natural beauty—they’re known for skin-friendly ingredients and the highest quality control on the market. For that reason they were a lot of Millennials’ first makeup brand. Trying to stick with that first-timer clientele, Nude by Nature made a brief detour towards Gen Z, but realised they had completely lost touch with their loyal Millennial base. So they pivoted, deciding to grow up alongside their first customers. That’s where we came in.

Crafting a brand voice that breathes.

We worked on everything from a new brand voice to a fresh visual identity, starting with a simple direction: go back to the Australian roots and draw inspiration from the surreal beauty of the outback. We crafted a brand voice that breathes easy, with airy metaphors and allusions to nature. Here’s their digital billboard feat. a line from us; “Makeup your skin can breathe In” sums it up.

Natural elevation.

The visual update found a natural sense of elevation, with textures taken from the outback and carefully carved, minimal compositions. We also consulted on their new packaging and provided advice on art direction for their upcoming shoots; we’d say both have turned out beautifully.

In the real world.

Now, we’re seeing their refreshed brand everywhere. Nude by Nature has launched an out of home campaign that’s plastered across tram wraps, digital billboards, and more. Nude by Nature is back, with a clear and refined identity, reminding everyone why they’ve been a beauty icon for so long.
