Working with Sunsure Energy brought forth a clear design challenge. The brand had already established itself as a significant player in India’s renewable energy space, operating as a full-scale Independent Power Producer (IPP) and helping leading Indian businesses make the shift to green energy. However, their digital presence, particularly their website, did not convey this leadership position effectively. The way the brand had been positioned through their previous website made them appear primarily as a manufacturer of renewable energy solutions. This led to a misalignment in messaging and perception. For a company that enables businesses to adopt renewable energy through end-to-end Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and a blend of solar, wind, and battery storage technologies, the website failed to reflect the actual value proposition.
Sunsure Energy, founded in 2014, has established itself as the preferred renewable energy solutions provider for India’s top businesses. Their client base includes big names such as Emcure, APL Apollo, Sandoz, KSB Pumps, Flipkart, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., Dabur Ltd., Kajaria Ceramics Ltd., INOX Air Products, Minda Industries Ltd., Hindware Ltd., Merino Industries Ltd., and over 60 others. They operate across more than 16 Indian states, providing clean energy with long-term PPAs that can offset up to 70% of power usage. They are backed by Partners Group AG, with an equity commitment of $400 million to support their goal of building the largest industrial decarbonization company in India and Southeast Asia. With 500 MW of assets already under operation, 2.5 GW of renewable energy capacity under construction, and an ambitious target of 5 GW by the end of 2028, Sunsure Energy is in a strong growth phase. The website, as it stood before redesign, did not reflect the scale, ambition, or the core service-oriented nature of the business.
The core problem was centered on the misalignment between Sunsure Energy’s true positioning and how it was represented online. The website did not reflect Sunsure’s primary identity as a service provider that enables other businesses to make a seamless transition to renewable energy. Instead, the content and structure made it seem like Sunsure was primarily a manufacturer, which was inaccurate and created confusion. As a result, the site was not attracting the right kind of leads. The traffic was either not relevant or not converting due to poor messaging. Important information was buried, the site lacked clarity, and headlines were not delivering the message effectively. Core messaging was diluted, and Sunsure’s unique value was not being clearly communicated to potential clients. All of these factors contributed to a digital experience that did not resonate with the intended audience.
To solve this challenge, Multia undertook the task of redesigning Sunsure Energy’s website with a clean, interactive, and easy-to-navigate user interface. The central goal of the redesign was to reposition the brand clearly as a premium service provider in the renewable energy sector. This meant focusing the new site architecture, messaging, and experience around Sunsure’s capabilities in guiding clients through the green energy transition. Every page, section, and piece of copy was created to reflect Sunsure’s strengths in managing the renewable energy shift end-to-end. Rather than appearing like a traditional manufacturer, Sunsure needed to be presented as a strategic partner for industrial clients across India, offering a high-touch, expert-led experience.
One of the key pillars of the redesign was building trust. The new website needed to help potential clients understand that Sunsure offers a reliable and simplified path to green energy adoption. Through long-term PPAs and a balanced energy mix including solar, wind, and battery storage, Sunsure offers more than just infrastructure—they offer complete support. That aspect of their identity had to be strongly represented in the new digital experience. It was also important that the new website structure and flow directed users toward action. Whether that meant initiating contact, exploring their services in-depth, or reading about client case studies, every element of the redesign had to guide users purposefully.
A clean interface was a primary consideration, and so was simplicity in navigation. Given the complexity of renewable energy systems and the technical nature of industrial energy transitions, the design had to be intuitive and avoid overwhelming users. Content sections were streamlined and restructured to focus on Sunsure’s role as a service provider. We made sure the user journey was smooth, where potential clients could easily find what they were looking for without going through multiple clicks. Large headers, concise copy, and a hierarchy of messaging were used to make Sunsure’s offering more digestible.
We did not work on color palette or typography for Sunsure Energy, as those branding decisions were handled by a different agency prior to the web redesign. Instead, we focused entirely on the digital structure, content direction, layout strategy, and the user experience. The goal was to refine the website into a platform that allowed Sunsure to communicate its capabilities and reach effectively. From the homepage to the services section, and from the client list to the PPA information, everything was designed to present Sunsure as a professional, large-scale service provider in the green energy domain.
We placed special emphasis on the services section to communicate Sunsure’s comprehensive approach. Instead of a fragmented or overly technical explanation of what they do, we crafted simplified modules that broke down their core offerings—solar, wind, battery storage, and the PPAs. Each module was supported with use cases and real-world applications to show how Sunsure integrates these technologies to support India’s top industrial clients. The aim was to make even a first-time visitor understand, at a glance, that Sunsure is not just about infrastructure but about partnership and transformation.
Another focus area was client credibility. Sunsure Energy already works with over 60 companies across India, including some of the most respected industrial brands. We created space to highlight this collaboration visually and contextually. A section dedicated to clients and partners was included to build confidence. This also helped convey Sunsure’s reach and experience across different regions and industries, reinforcing their leadership in the space.
The site also introduced smoother interactive elements, such as hover transitions, collapsible modules, and structured CTAs to keep the user experience engaging. We avoided clutter and focused on performance—fast loading times, responsive layouts, and a structure that works just as well on mobile as on desktop. The interface was built for functionality with the user in mind, and every component served a purpose.
Ultimately, the redesign of the Sunsure Energy website was about correcting the brand narrative and communicating the company’s true value to the right audience. It was about moving away from the misconception that Sunsure is a manufacturer and instead highlighting their real strength as an expert-led service provider that helps Indian businesses transition to clean energy seamlessly. This repositioning through digital experience helped Sunsure realign with its core mission and better support its growth goals. It also laid the foundation for more relevant client engagement and a clearer understanding of the brand’s value.
The redesigned website now presents Sunsure as the trusted partner it truly is, one that understands the nuances of energy transition in India and supports businesses through every step of the journey. The user experience aligns with their leadership status, and the website finally reflects the scale, impact, and service excellence that Sunsure Energy stands for.
