Elcom International, a trusted name in electromechanical and electronic components since 1981, partnered with Multia to redefine their brand identity and online presence. Our goal was to create a cohesive, future-forward brand experience that would resonate with Elcom’s diverse audience – from industrial buyers to renewable energy professionals and end consumers.
The Challenge
Elcom’s existing digital presence didn’t reflect the scale, innovation, or accessibility of their solutions. With a wide product portfolio spanning industrial and renewable sectors, they needed a brand and platform that could simplify complexity, improve usability, and communicate trust and expertise.
Our Approach
Multia began with a strategic overhaul of Elcom’s website, focusing on clarity, structure, and ease of navigation. We aimed to present complex technical information in a way that was engaging, intuitive, and accessible for varied user profiles.
Design Language
– We adopted a clean, modern, and timeless visual style. Typography choices were central to the refreshed identity:
– Nohemi, a distinct sans-serif, was selected for headings to add character and edge.
– Inter was used for body text, ensuring readability across devices and content types.
– To enrich Elcom’s brand palette of traditional blue and white, we introduced:
– A lighter blue for balance and approachability
– A darker blue for depth and contrast
– Neon green to draw attention on dark backgrounds
– Light grey for neutrality and visual grounding
This extended palette brought greater versatility and energy to Elcom’s communications.
Website Transformation
The revamped website offers a seamless user journey that highlights Elcom’s capabilities without overwhelming users. Through intuitive layouts, high-impact visuals, and streamlined content, we showcased the brand’s leadership in industrial and renewable power solutions.
Key Feature: Product Finder
A standout innovation is the new Product Finder—an intelligent, filter-based tool that allows users to efficiently browse and locate products from Elcom’s extensive catalog. Despite the technical complexity behind its development, our team delivered a smooth, responsive experience that adds real value to the user journey.
Expanding the Experience: Powerstrip Microsite
To support Elcom’s direct-to-consumer product line, we created a dedicated microsite for Powerstrip, their range of home-use products. With its own identity but aligned with the parent brand, the microsite features a bold, consumer-centric design and highlights the innovative functionality of Powerstrip products.
