Sounds in The Wood is a socializing event immersed in the nature of the Parco degli Alpini in Padua, Italy, organized by Sunrise Garden. In collaboration with Red Bull Italia we designed the identity of the event and the merchandising. We wanted to convey the sense of sound, through evocative images that could almost evoke sounds from nature itself. We selected a color palette that was a mix between colors extrapolated from nature and the Sunrise Garden brand.
We designed four different posters for advertising the event, a commercial poster with an image provided by Red Bull of one of the vehicles used during the event and three posters with images of natural textures created by foliage, plants and wood. The four images were used not only to create the posters, but also for communication through social media. The four images were used not only to create the posters, but also for communication through social media.
For the typography we used the Stelvio Grotesk font, designed by us, whose letters were designed taking up shapes belonging to the flora and fauna of the Stelvio Nature Park. We wanted a thick, linear font that fit the mood we had in mind and our Stelvio Grotesk is perfect for that.
For this project we were very inspired by the American graphics of the 70s. We mixed that kind of vintage style with a more modern and contemporary style. Discussions with the event organizers and artists were key to achieving this goal. Music, sounds, nature and graphics were mixed together giving life to the whole event.
