Bringing Meating.pt to Life: Our Creative Journey
Meating was born as a bold vision—a festival that would celebrate and promote the authenticity of Trás-os-Montes on an international scale. When it made its debut on September 14-15, in the stunning ruins of Paço Episcopal in Miranda do Douro, we were proud to have played a key role in shaping its identity, storytelling, and digital presence.
More than just a gastronomic event, Meating is a tribute to the region’s heritage, uniting food, music, and culture in an innovative format. At its core, the festival showcases the rich flavors of Trás-os-Montes, with renowned chefs creatively cooking meat from four native breeds—Mirandesa, Maronesa, Barrosã, and Cachena—alongside the region’s prized chestnuts. This fusion of tradition and innovation results in unique culinary experiences that honor the land, its people, and its products. Complementing the food, the festival’s musical program brings together national artists and local groups in exclusive collaborations, ensuring that every performance is as authentic and immersive as the dishes being served.
From the outset, we crafted a strong and distinctive visual identity, designing the festival’s logo and all communication materials, both digital and physical. Our team developed a multilingual website that captured the festival’s essence and provided an intuitive experience for both local and international audiences.
In the lead-up to the event, we managed social media channels, building anticipation through engaging content and strategic paid media campaigns (Meta Ads) that maximized visibility. During and after the festival, our audiovisual team was on the ground, capturing the energy and authenticity of Meating through high-quality photography and video production, creating compelling content that extended the festival’s reach beyond its physical location.
Beyond digital, we collaborated closely with the festival’s organizers, supporting the planning and execution of a dedicated Press Trip, ensuring that Meating.pt gained the media attention it deserved.
The result was a truly unique festival where gastronomy and music merged in unforgettable ways. Meating set a new standard for celebrating Trás-os-Montes, and being part of this journey was an incredible experience for us.
