Vedacit Brand Design – Empathy, Diversity and Inclusion

Description
Vedacit is a company operating nationwide, and to sell solutions for civil construction across the country, it must be representative. There is enormous diversity in both clients and teams. In response to this scenario, we developed the internal program “Diversidade & Inclusão” or “Diversity and Inclusion” to connect and integrate Vedacit employees.

Diversity is the set of differences and similarities that characterize people and make them unique, singular, with the most varied groups they belong to. They are cultural, biological, social, economic, etc. Inclusion is a way of valuing and integrating groups and populations that historically, due to social issues and stereotypes, have faced barriers in society and the workplace.

We can be different, each with its own particularity, and still have a healthy coexistence.

Idea
This program emerged from the need to further integrate the various types of people within Vedacit.

The openness to new knowledge on the subject and how to work with diversity brings the opportunity to create a balanced environment where everyone understands their role in transformation: empathy + engagement + happiness = a company of good people!

In most companies, diverse employees can find a hostile and adverse environment to work in, and the issue of diversity and inclusion is not seen as an organizational priority.

We understand that diversity should not be an agenda but rather something inserted naturally.

Execution

We created a colorful and cheerful visual identity so that people could identify with diversity in a light way without stereotyping anyone.

We follow a minimalist line; the graphic elements interact, the letters play with each other, and they are composed in different ways. Inspired by the construction universe itself, the messages are built in motion.

The identity was applied to digital promotional pieces, posters, invitations, wallpapers, workshops, and other content that is part of the program.

Relevance and suitability
A program that meets SDG 10. A challenging project that represented such a delicate topic in a light and fun way

If diversity is not managed well, it can be a source of conflict, leading to reduced productivity and absenteeism. Lack of knowledge on the subject can generate resistance.

The organization is a reflection of society; therefore, individual differences, social invisibilities, prejudices, stereotypes, and discrimination are also explicit in the corporate environment.

We can see the strength that this project presents. We believe that it can take on a much greater proportion, not only for the internal public but also on the company’s social networks.
