For Gothic Angels Distillery, Poland, we created their complete new Gin line! For the brand name Øl’søn, referring to family relations, we chose a cross as a main brand symbol, which is inseparably linked with Gothic and Toruń, where Gothic Angels Distillery is located (Poland). From the very beginning, the idea for the label focused on a strong visibility of the front label, designed to attract the eye, and be remembered by the customer, enhanced by the delicious taste of the gin.

While creating the concept, the idea began to evolve and emerged that the back label should be integrated in the branding and become as visible from the store shelf as the front label, mainly as a differentiator between the flavours. Why only use one label when you have two? Our brainstorm led us to mathematical symbols used in games. Games that are played throughout different family generations. With the main SKU, London Dry Gin, we have a reference to the game of tic-tac-toe, a game played with older generations. The entire range together references to the PlayStation, played by later generations.

Øl’søn gin is a spirit born out of love for family, diversity and the nature that surrounds us. It is presented in three versions: London Dry Gin with articulated herbs that is loved the most in the brewing industry (aromatic bergamot, aromatic American hops and fragrant tonka bean), Pink Gin with aromatic cherry and grapefruit and Blue Lilac Gin, the world’s first blue gin with the addition of beautiful and aromatic lilac flower.

Gothic Angels Distillery is a craft micro-project from Toruń (Poland), the city of the astronomer, Nicolaus Copernicus. The idea for the distillery was born in the head of Michał Olszewski in 2022, who has been implementing his ideas and dealing with plants and herbs since 2013 at the craft Olimp Brewery. The distillery’s operations are based on the production capacity of subcontractors and implement two conceptual tracks: a local one, based on products referring to Toruń and gingerbread, and a craft track based on high-quality spirits made from selected, unique and unusual ingredients.
