USAIMO – A Design Concept Bridging Science and Nature
The challenge for USAIMO was to build a completely new brand in a saturated market. With no existing foundation, the task was to create an identity that unites scientific innovation with natural skincare – aiming for long-term relevance rather than a short-lived trend. From the very beginning, the ambition was clear: to translate complex research into a visual world that feels both approachable and distinctive.
Approach
At the core lies the skin microbiome – a fragile ecosystem that must be supported and protected. This scientific foundation shaped the design process in every step. The guiding idea: make research visible without losing emotional appeal. The Mix & Match principle – base creams combined with targeted boosters – was translated into modular structures, clear typography, and a color system that provides orientation and reflects diversity. In this way, science and creativity work together to create clarity
Solution
The packaging design merges precision with natural vitality:
– Typography: reduced, systematic, and clear – reflecting the purity of the formulations and the reliability of research.
– Colors: bold and distinctive, directly inspired by ingredients – Moss = green, Bakuchiol = purple, Oat = yellow, Water = blue. Each shade symbolizes both nature and innovation.
– Icon: two opposing arrows, derived from the chemical sign for equilibrium, forming a minimalist yet powerful brand symbol that stands for scientific balance and harmony.
The result is a design that expresses innovation, research, and nature in equal measure. USAIMO positions itself not as a trend product, but as a brand with a scientific foundation, innovative formulations, and a clear vision: skincare in harmony with the skin’s individual ecosystem – modern, distinctive, and future-oriented.
