Lodz & Odds – City Platform Branding
The Project – Lodz & Odds is a digital platform dedicated to capturing the pulse of urban life in Łódź. More than just a city guide, it brings together curated places — from independent cafés and hidden restaurants to bars and cultural spots — alongside events, activities, and editorial content. It’s not only a source of discovery but also a space for citizens to engage, share reviews, and connect directly. Lodz & Odds acts as a living magazine of the city, designed to showcase its vibrant, evolving identity.
Our Approach – Designing the brand meant starting from the city itself. Łódź is a city of contrasts — once an industrial powerhouse, today a cultural hub filled with raw potential. It is one of Poland’s largest cities, yet its streets are still lined with untouched old buildings, silent witnesses of a bold and complex past. This tension between heritage and reinvention defines the city’s soul.
We translated this spirit into a branding that is unapologetically bold, geometric, and raw. The logo, typography, and visual language echo Łódź’s outsider energy: a city of nonconformists, artists, and makers who thrive in its rough edges. By embracing industrial forms and straightforward geometry, the design mirrors factory signage and constructivist aesthetics, while the digital platform itself carries the city into a new chapter — dynamic, connected, and alive.
Lodz & Odds stands as both a celebration of the city’s authenticity and a forward-looking platform for its creative future.
