Each year, billions of dollars are exchanged in the art market, with some individual deals between private owners and collectors excess hundreds of millions of dollars. After about 300 years of holding art auctions, there are specific procedures for pricing artworks, which are agreed upon amongst most of the players in this field. Unfortunately, we did not have this global practice for pricing exquisite handmade carpets. Elements such as size, number of knots, used material, design and pattern, type of colors, texture style, and carpet age are all effective factors in the pricing process of handmade carpets. Therefore, there was a gap for an international organization to unite these processes in the field of pricing on handmade carpets and to do the work of evaluating and certifying said carpets.
