Unblvbl agency has developed a communication system for the “Arteza” project. This company unites creative and energetic people who are interested in art. We were inspired by their desire to show that art is much more than just a hobby. It is a tool of expression that captures and preserves a rich human experience and history. Art inspires, hooks, encourages dialogue. That’s why we think creativity should be accessible to everyone.
The system developed by the Unblvbl is very simple and easy to cover a large number of “Arteza” products: from various acrylic paints and watercolors to precision tools for drawing works.
The main visual “anchor” of a package is a red square that reflects the key information about the product, whether it is the number of sheets for the sketch or the number of tubes of paint. The black bar at the top of the package works well with the illustration and creates a clear and understandable brand block. The selection of an illustration is also not a purely intuitive solution, it is included in the general branding system and aims to help the buyer understand how the item is used.
For example, for expendable artistic material (pencils, brush pens, etc.), patterns are used that show their trail. For sketches and albums we use the illustrations of professional artists made with the help of these artistic materials to inspire those who are just at the beginning of their creative journey. Abstract illustrations were selected for the paints, showing the texture of the product.
The square may also have different colours depending on the category of the material. The red square combined with the gold frame represents the main line “Premium”, which includes the main artistic products. In the “Expert” line for professional artists, gold is replaced by silver. The green square with the white border marks the line “Classic” for working on canvas. The white square and linear illustrations on a white background are intended for branding packages with easels. The black box selects a category of tools for drawing and cutting. A more serious and rational approach in tool packages is supported by black-and-white illustrations on a dark background that reflect either the imprint on the instrument or gives a hint at its scope.
As a result, we have a bright, clear and memorable design, which corresponds to the basic principles of “Arteza” — to encourage creative people (from amateurs to professionals) to express themselves, to inspire others with their works and to improve their skills. Art is a journey. “Arteza” provides tools — and artists point the way.
