D61 Design is an interdisciplinary design studio created by people ready to implement even the boldest and most visionary projects. They come from the automotive industry and have developed a number of concepts for renowned brands.
We were excited about the new brand identity project for the newly established studio. It was all the more exciting because we designed for other designers, which is always a challenge, but if it succeeds – it gives a lot of satisfaction.
We took into account the fact that our creations would be strictly judged by people with extensive experience in the “hard” design industry. Nevertheless, we took up the challenge and created a brand image deeply embedded in the history of the founders. The signet was inspired by 3 elements characterizing the founders, the first of which was a spatial block symbolizing the design work, the second was the shape of a summer house in which the idea of creating the brand was born, and the third was the number 61 included in the name, the shape of which can be seen in the logotype.
We wanted the identification to be kept in a minimalist tone with the use of one main color – so that it was “strong” enough to emphasize the relevant elements, we decided to use bright red throughout the identification. As part of the project, we also implemented a series of job materials that allowed for the presentation of the brand and its projects in a consistent manner for clients. We were also responsible for the design and implementation of the website, the unique way of scrolling the content refers to the originality of the design solutions used by the brand. The photo session of the founders and their employees, carried out for image purposes, shows their openness to new challenges and distance to each other.
