Trelivings Jarrah Honey by Harcus Design

Trelivings Jarrah Honey by Harcus Design

Backstory:
‘Trelivings’ was first established in Adelaide by Nigel Treliving in 1984 producing a range of fine bodycare and stationery products. Exporting to 18 countries across Europe, Asia, and in over 3800 outlets throughout the United States, it was sold to private equity in 2005. When the private equity company let the brand registration lapse in 2019, Nigel reclaimed ‘his name’, leading to its rebrand, revitalisation and relaunch.

Jarrah Honey with native desert fruit
The inaugural range is Trelivings Jarrah Honey, an Australian collection of skincare, body, bath and home fragrance products. The Jarrah Honey is sustainably sourced from the tall Jarrah tree forests of the Darling Range in Western Australia – particularly the Karragullen forests, part of the ancient country of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people. They have been the Traditional Owners and custodians of this land in the SW corner of Western Australia, for over 45,000 years.

Because of its high antimicrobial properties and beneficial antioxidants, this extraordinary Jarrah Honey has a Total Activity rating of 50+, achieving medical status due to the natural enzymes in the honey. The Jarrah Honey is combined with Australian native desert fruits – quandong, wattleseed and desert lime – each selected for their ability to improve the texture and look of skin.

The primary selling channel is Pharmacy/Drugstore retail – priced for the price-conscious, accessible and yet up-scale and desirable. The proprietary reusable vessels were designed with echoing curvatures – across the bottles and jars. The bottles and tubes are ultra matt white with a ‘soft touch’ finish. Whereas the glass jars are metallic gold for the fragrance candles and matt white for the bath salts.

In line with the brand’s environmentally conscious mantra, the vessels are all recyclable. The bottles carry an embellished ‘save our bees’ tag with QR code which connects to the brand’s ongoing initiative supporting the protection of bees for our planet’s biodiversity and healthy ecosytems.
