The new packaging of the Eco range by Tomelo was developed according to environmental guidelines, using recycled raw materials, and designed to bring out the values of this authentic, 100% natural product.

The Donkey Milk fresh used for the production of these Natural Soaps comes from Donkeys of Asinina de Miranda and its use will not only moisturize and prevent aging of the skin: In fact, Milk of Donkey contains Vitamins, Proteins and Fatty Acids that stimulate the production of Collagen in human skin. In addition, Donkey’s milk also has antioxidant properties that slow the aging of the skin. Thus, among the benefits of using these products are the increase in firmness and elasticity of the skin. Besides these qualities you can verify, the use of these products will decisively contribute to help save these friendly and animal friends from the only Portuguese Autochthonous Breed designated as “Miranda’s Donkey”, an autochthonous Asinine species of the Trás-os-montes region of the Mirandese Plateau that is seriously threatened with extinction.

For all these reasons, this product is much more than a quality commercial product: it is a project that contributes actively to the preservation of Biodiversity and conservation of the Genetic Heritage, contributes to the social preservation of many uses and customs associated with the threatened species, and should therefore also be seen as a project of Eco-Social and Cultural Development. The colours of the packaging were carefully selected to match each of the six available scents of this range (verbena, lavender, lily of the valley, honey, olive and almond). A century-old print was chosen to illustrate the packaging. It depicts a donkey from this region. This animal stands both as a symbolic element and a link between Tomelo’s handcrafted products and the cultural and anthropological roots of this territory.
