Bodega Sotero Pintado is a small winery located in the province of Zamora, Spain that produces top quality wines and takes great care of the image of each of its wines. His new creation is a wine that is made with grapes from vineyards with granite soils, located in the Sierra de Gredos, which make these wines very particular for their flavor with mineral touches. In the client’s briefing, they asked us for a design that would attract the attention of a very wide target audience. The consumer of this wine can vary from 30 years to 70 years and with very different social status. It is a wine of a medium / high price, so the presentation had to be something special, that would attract attention but that also had a lot of concept and that it was easily remembered. We wanted to very clearly differentiate the label, the back label and the capsule.
After giving many turns to the concept that predominated in the bottle, they brought us a couple of stones from the same vineyard and it was what inspired us. We wanted to make the texture of the granite but in a different way than what was already on the market. For the label, we chose to make the granite texture with 3 different papers and thus each of the papers corresponds to quartz, feldspar and mica, the main components of granite. A very technical label that is finished off by a sealing capsule in which we mix granite powder with gray sealing wax to give a texture that looks like a stone. The result is an extremely striking, original and elegant image that perfectly defines the wine within.
