The New Menopause Focused Brand Called Kookoo Designed by Not Another Design Agency

For women in the perimenopausal and menopausal phase of life, this is the brand that, as a creative team, we have wanted to create for years. In 2023, we were at last lucky enough to meet the nutritionist and insightful entrepreneur Megan kendra Marais, who shared the same ambition and vision—and we got to work.

About Meg: With my experience as a nutritionist and PT helping many women navigate this mid-life shit show I came to the realisation, that I too, would go through this transition one day!

Not only did I want to create a product that wasn’t an all-in-one symptom solver but I wanted to create something that would genuinely help and alleviate specific symptoms not only for women suffering right now BUT also for my future self and the women who follow and so Kookoo was born.

An estimated 13 million women across the UK are presently navigating the impact of perimenopause or menopause, constituting roughly one-third of the entire female population in the country.

We carried out our own research and found that the Kookoo target audience is very vocal, open, and straight-talking when it comes to discussing the challenges of the menopause. We also found a great deal of humour—and quite a bit of swearing—all of which we have endeavoured to distill into an honest and contemporary tone of voice for both the brand and product positioning. The inaugural Kookoo product, Forgetful, Moody & Tired AF?, is an innovative MenoMocktail™ supplement drink designed to ease the challenges of forgetfulness, mood swings, and persistent fatigue.
