The Hungry Gardener Plant Seed Packaging

Frank Aloi – ‘The Hungry Gardener’

Passionate grower and gardening author, Fab Capomolla – aka ‘The Hungry Gardener’ decided to move to Italy for a year with his family – to reconnect with his roots and discover the secret to growing food the Italian way. Passionate about ‘growing your own’ – as growing your own ensures it’s totally organic, a range of seeds was developed. On his food discovery journey, Fabian visited Patisserie’s, Gelateria’s, Cafe’s and La Trattoria’s. The packaging was designed to reflect the his journey… paying tribute to the Italian heritage. The type direction was influenced by the typography seen throughout the Italian countryside. Illustrations were specially created to communicate this Italian feel – combining with bright colours to add a contemporary touch to the vintage designs.
