The Edison Agency Launches STOMP by Sheraz Winery as a Provocative Female-Led Wine Brand

About Stomp

“Bite big and chew like hell” isn’t just a motto it’s a way of life. Especially if you’re Amber Bonney, The Edison Agency’s Founder and the woman who’s been shaking up the Australian creative industry for 25 years with her uncanny ability to distil complexity, spot what matters, and turn insight into strategic magic, all while kicking down doors for gender equity and mentoring the next generation of creative leaders.

STOMP is a love letter to that spirit. Made and designed by women, it’s premium, punchy, and provocatively packaged. A shelf-smashing example of what happens when a brand agency uses its own tools not just to celebrate but to create IP, shift culture, and start something bigger.

The Brief

Last year, The Edison Agency hit a milestone: 13 years of branding brilliance, which officially put us in our rebellious teen era. You know the one: slamming doors, rolling eyes, demanding independence. Except instead of questionable eyeliner and angst-fuelled playlists, we’ve spent our adolescence crafting strategic design, building brand architecture, disrupting categories, and creating label finishes so premium they make your wine rack look very underdressed.

To celebrate, we threw a Teenage Rebellion party (complete with snacks, sass, and a few highly impractical outfits). But the real headline? We launched STOMP by Sheraz Winery, our own limited-edition wine brand. A bold, bad-ass bottle created with acclaimed female winemaker Erin Pooley of Little Frances Wines, and branded in-house by our team of whip-smart, wildly talented female creatives.

Designed as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the disruptive spirit of our Founder, Amber Bonney, STOMP is more than just wine, it’s an embodiment of Edison’s unapologetic attitude, female-led firepower, and sharp-as-hell storytelling.

Positioned as a category-disrupting concept, STOMP exemplified how an agency can use its own platform to build something that challenges conventions. From naming and narrative to label finishes and packaging craft, every element was intentionally designed to provoke, seduce, and shift perceptions of what a wine brand can be.

The Outcome

Originally conceived as a one-off, self-initiated passion project, STOMP quickly evolved into something far more powerful. What began as a playful experiment in brand expression turned into a case study in how cultural provocation, strategic design, and storytelling can collide to create commercial opportunity. From the moment it was unveiled (both at the event and online) STOMP captured attention. Its defiant tone of voice, artfully raw visual identity and unapologetically female-first stance struck a nerve. Guests were asking for bottles. Industry peers were taking notes. And Edison had sparked something more than just a party moment, we’d created a brand artefact.

But the energy didn’t stop there. Off the back of its success, Edison entered confidential discussions with Lady Garden Wines, a like-minded, female-led label with a shared appetite for shaking things up. Together, we have begun exploring the possibility of a small-batch commercial release. What started as an internal celebration is now shaping up to become a real product born from brand-led innovation, strategic self-promotion, and an unfiltered commitment to backing our own creative thinking
