The Clinical Design Behind the Success of Keep Me Breathing Charity

The Clinical Design Behind the Success of Keep Me Breathing Charity

There Is No Cure For CCHS. But Keep Me Breathing Are Making Progress Towards One Every Single Day.
The effects of being born with CCHS are devastating, sufferers run the risk of dying if they fall asleep unaided. With no cure and no therapeutic options available to patients while they sleep beyond artificial life support.

KMB are addressing the urgent need for new treatments that can improve and save the lives of people diagnosed with CCHS.

They are working Relentlessly to make breakthroughs in research, get treatments faster and find a cure. Inspired by a beautiful boy, Casper, born with CCHS and the most complex case of Neuroblastoma (a type of Cancer) Great Ormond Street Hospital had ever seen.

Although the charity has a focus on the story of Casper, it isn’t necessarily a children’s charity. There are adult sufferers of CCHS too and the charity’s audience is as much the scientific community as it is CCHS parents and patients.

Revolutionizing Fundraising: The Clinical Design Behind the Success of Keep Me Breathing KMB approached us to create a logo design that would work well across the board and that would be simple enough to easily applied by the charity’s DIY fundraisers.

Opting for a single colour design meant that DIY fundraisers would be able to easily choose a logo for maximum contrast against carious imagesand photos, particularly over social media.

We added a magnifying glass in negative space to coonect with the important searching/researching nature of the charity, using lungs to tie in the breathing aspect of the subject.

The client was very keen on keeping the design quite clinical so that medical professionals would feel comfortable using the design alongside their own brands when needed. We chose a range of blues that allow contrast across various applications.

The design has been used successfully over the last couple of months to raise over £100,000 for the charity already. It has helped them become one of three chosen charities in Body Shops Community Charity programme. The design has been used for marketing materials seen across a range of local and national events and on various news outlets.
