Warm and meaningful. These are the two pillars that guided the creation of Poupinha Reserva’s identity, a project rooted in memory, rebirth, and an authentic connection to the land.
More than a wine, Poupinha is a tribute to family, to origin, and to the gentle rhythm of time. The central figure of the design is the Poupa bird (Upupa epops), a native species and deeply symbolic presence in the Alentejo region. Illustrated with clean, contemporary lines and finished in refined gold foil, the bird represents not only the biodiversity of its surroundings but the delicate balance between heritage and evolution. It becomes a visual metaphor for transformation, renewal, and the transmission of values across generations.
The design is guided by minimalism, sincerity, and respect for nature. Soft tones, a textured natural paper, and warm serif typography come together to evoke a sense of quiet elegance. The palette mirrors the earthy tones of the Alentejo landscape: terracotta soil, olive groves, dry stone walls, and golden sunsets. Each choice was intentional, from the tactile label to the restrained color palette, all curated to reflect authenticity and emotional depth.
In the studio, natural materials like vine wood, local stone, and raw earth were integrated into the visual composition to ground the bottle in its origin. These elements go beyond styling; they create a sensory bridge between product and place, inviting the viewer to feel the land rather than simply see the label.
Poupinha Reserva is inspired by the traditions and memories that shape a family’s connection to wine. It reflects the quiet strength of the Alentejo, the values passed from one generation to the next, and the silent poetry of nature at work. Each bottle carries more than flavor. It carries a story of renewal, presence, and belonging.
