About tawridat
Tawridat Company is a commercial company based in Qatar that offers a wide range of services. The company imports goods from abroad across various sectors such as medical devices, food products, clothing, educational equipment, and other light and heavy vehicles.
These goods are then supplied to commercial companies, wholesalers, and even small shops that sell products. Additionally, the company provides services in custom software design and programming, website development, real estate brokerage, e-commerce, business management, and business solutions.
Challenges
One of the challenges we faced was finding a suitable name for the company, as the company did not yet have a name. Therefore, we conducted extensive research on the company, its operations, clients, and competitors, and we determined the name in a simple way, shortening it to the company’s trade name and calling it “TAWRIDAT” The word “Tawridat” in Arabic means importing goods from abroad and supplying and distributing them to companies and stores within the country.
We also developed a simplified brand strategy to identify the market, target audience, competitors, and the company’s positioning within the Qatari commercial market and among its competitors, providing appropriate solutions to these challenges.
Afterward, we began the research process and started designing the appropriate logo, determining the artistic direction, and implementing the proposed solutions.
Solutions
First, during our research on competitors, we found similarities between their designs and logos, with no clear differentiation among them. So, we decided to opt for a text-based logo primarily for its memorability and distinctiveness.
Second, we designed an icon inspired by the main logo itself with very minimal modifications because the company will have a website, and this icon will serve as the site and app icon as well.
Third, the company is new and will enter a highly competitive market. Therefore, the text-based logo was the most suitable choice to ensure that the target audience can easily remember the name and logo together, making it simple to distinguish the company from its competitors.
