30 Years of Contribution by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation​​​​​​​ Visual Identity

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, a comprehensive and cohesive commemorative visual identity system was developed, aiming to highlight the Foundation’s cultural legacy while projecting a contemporary and forward-looking image. At the core of this initiative was the design of a special anniversary logotype for 2025, created as an extension of the existing brand identity and aligned with its values, visual language, and institutional character. The anniversary logo functioned as a unifying visual element and accompanied all communication materials related to the Foundation’s celebratory activities throughout the year.

The project encompassed a wide range of print and digital design applications, ensuring visual consistency across multiple platforms and touchpoints. Beyond the anniversary logotype, a series of printed materials was designed to serve the needs of the Historical Library, including layouts that emphasized readability, typographic hierarchy, and archival sensitivity. In parallel, an extensive custom icon system was developed, covering all departments of the Foundation and supporting both informational clarity and visual cohesion across internal and external communications.

In addition, numerous visual communication assets were produced, such as event programmes, large-scale banners, bus stop advertisements, and a broad set of social media content, including static posts, animated visuals, and short-form video reels. These applications were carefully adapted to different formats and media, following principles of layout design, grid systems, color theory, and responsive design, while maintaining a strong and recognizable visual identity.

The visual identity was prominently applied to two major events:
— The Open Days (May 2025), which attracted more than 2,000 visitors per weekend across the Foundation’s three buildings, requiring clear wayfinding, signage, and engaging informational design.
— The main anniversary event and violin concert at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus (September 2025), for which high-impact visual materials were created to support both promotion and the on-site experience.

As part of the project, a large iconography and infographic library was developed, consisting of more than 80 custom-designed icons. These icons were used extensively in promotional materials, editorial layouts, and digital applications. To further enhance engagement and accessibility, the icon set was also animated by the design team, enabling dynamic use in social media campaigns, motion graphics, and various presentations produced by the Foundation. Overall, the project combined branding, graphic design, motion design, and visual storytelling into a unified and flexible system that supported the Foundation’s anniversary celebrations across all communication channels.
