Synchrony and Style: Minimalism in the Branding of the Synchronised Swimming Competition by Student Julia Kiselyova

Synchrony and Style: Minimalism in the Branding of the Synchronised Swimming Competition by Student Julia Kiselyova

The branding style for the synchronized swimming competition in 2024 reflects the elegance, precision, and harmony inherent in this sport. It includes minimalist graphic elements that resemble the figures and silhouettes of synchronized swimmers in motion. The central focus of the style is the stylized images of swimming poses and positions, presented in an abstract manner using shades of blue, which is associated with water and the calm atmosphere of a pool.
The competition is organized by the “Olimp” sports school and will take place on November 12. It aims to draw attention to synchronized swimming as a sport that showcases the beauty and coordination of movement. Participants will perform complex figures and compositions in the water, requiring a high level of synchronization and teamwork.

Each visual element is carefully chosen to represent the silhouettes and poses of swimmers, evoking a sense of synchronicity and balance. The abstract shapes resemble movements in the water, freezing the athletes in various synchronized positions and turning them into almost sculptural forms. The shades of blue, ranging from light to deep tones, not only highlight the aquatic theme but also give a sense of depth and dimension, immersing the viewer in the world of the pool. The clean typography reflects the sport’s disciplined and official tone. The branding not only promotes the competition but also elevates synchronized swimming as a form of art, capturing its essence through a refined and stylish design. This approach highlights the dedication, grace, and unity that define the sport, creating a memorable visual identity for the event.
