Identity design and art direction for Indonesian food brand. Banana leaf as inspiration and formal concept. An ornamental element in the kitchen and a traditional way to present contemporary dishes. A way to approach culture, roots and origin. A figurative identity through dynamic and fresh characters. The blocks of typography allow to structure differently to achieve different structures of content and form. The composition through the grid of these blocks generates both space and greater brand flexibility.
Typography, color and communication inspired by the coexistence of nature and human industrialization. Contrast between traditional/authentic and fresh/modern at the same time.
Finally, a seal has been designed as a communication element that transmits authenticity, origin, roots and imported tradition. A visual metaphor about the journey of food.
The aim of this design is to communicate and bring a traditional product to a younger and quality audience.
The project has been designed by Barceló Estudio and manufactured in a traditional and local printing house in Palma (Mallorca). For its production, Fedrigoni 215gr paper has been used and 1-ink offset printing.
