Studio Unbound proudly announces its partnership with RainBro, an exceptional activist apparel brand that is breaking boundaries and driving a movement towards a more inclusive society. Founded by brothers Martyn and Steven, who draw inspiration from their personal experiences as gay men, wanted RainBro to be a symbol of hope, understanding, and allyship, shedding light on the challenges faced by the wider LGBTQ+ community.

The collaboration began with Studio Unbound’s meticulous work in crafting RainBro’s name—a name that captures the essence of queer identities while celebrating the founding brothers and acknowledging the strong sense of community within the LGBTQ+ family. RainBro is a playful and memorable representation of the resilience and unity often demonstrated by queer communities in the face of adversity.

Studio Unbound’s design expertise shines through in the logo type created for RainBro. The logo pays homage to the early days of pride protests, evoking a premium retro-classic aesthetic reminiscent of the 1970s. Each letterform of the logo proudly showcases the vibrant rainbow colours, a tribute to Gilbert Baker’s original rainbow flag—the iconic symbol of LGBTQ+ pride. This carefully handcrafted logo type gives RainBro a distinct, memorable but more importantly wearable visual identity.

The collaboration between Studio Unbound and RainBro extended to the selection of distinctive fonts for the brand’s apparel. Meticulously curated, these fonts are bold and unapologetic. Notably, one font was custom designed based on the handwriting of one of the brothers, adding a personal touch that reinforces RainBro’s authentic voice.

RainBro is more than just a fashion brand; it serves as a powerful call to action. By amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, RainBro empowers the community and its allies to make a bold statement in support of LGBTQ+ rights while directly contributing to social change. A remarkable 60% of RainBro’s profits are generously donated to selected LGBTQ+ charities, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to driving positive transformation.
