Our graphic and structural design for the prestige release of Andrés Brugal celebrates the legacy of the brand’s founder and its 130+ year heritage with a remarkable expression of craftsmanship: just 460 hand-blown decanters, each housed in a groundbreaking, heirloom-quality wooden travel case.
This Limited Edition release tells the story of five generations of Maestros Roneros—Brugal’s master blenders—who journeyed across continents to share their exceptional rum with the world. Drawing inspiration from opulent 20th-century travel trunks, the case is constructed from richly stained, heavyweight wood, adorned with etched details, gilded accents, and a leather-handled harness, symbolising timelessness and endurance.
Inside, a dramatic reveal unveils a mirrored interior engraved with a bespoke map tracing Brugal’s historic voyage. The structural design opens outward into a display pedestal, catching and refracting light to hero the decanter within.
The bottle itself is a masterclass in storytelling and design. Suspended above a thick glass base shaped like a compass, it connects visually and symbolically to Andrés Brugal’s own journey. Cross-hatch engraving across the surface echoes the netting once used to wrap Dominican rum bottles, while refined branding—etched directly into the glass with touches of gold foil—communicates understated luxury.
