Brolio Castle has belonged to the Ricasoli family since at least 1141. After several centuries spent defending their lands from the attacks of the Sienese citizens, the Ricasoli family dedicated themselves to the development of agriculture and vineyards, sensing the great potential of the Brolio area. Today, the Ricasoli company produces a large number of wines that are exported all over the world.
We were contacted by the company that needed to create a single bottle gift box capable of accommodating bottles of different shapes and a 2-bottle box that had a careful eye on reuse.
For the first request, after an analysis of the bottles, working with the company’s visual codes characterized by few but essential elements, we designed a multi-product packaging with an adaptable inner collar.
To give shape to the gift concept few ennobling signs: hot gold ribbon, dry embossing and silkscreen printing applied on Color Dark Blue by Fedrigoni. To accompany the gift box we have realized a cardboard pendant were you can print the name of the lucky that will receive the gift.
For the second box we have studied a light and bright design, with a fresh and contemporary cut. Delicate graphic customization leaves space for the paper with embossed texture that does not anticipate the interior where the magical view of the Brolio Castle introduces the quality of the wines contained. A hole on the side of the box suggests creative reuse as a binder.
The box is self-assembling which guarantees less space for the warehouse and speed and simplicity during the assembly.
