Studio Guild’s Packaging Designfor Premium Sparkling Wine Brand ‘Toujours’

Studio Guild was approached to create six premium drinks brands to highlight the use of selected face stocks and their capabilities from label distributor, Ball & Doggett. The ‘Find my flavour’ collaboration included other specialists such as label printer, Labelhouse, and global glass manufacturer, Estal.

Throughout the project we approached this as we would any other brand development. It needed to look authentic, premium and capture a need to explore for the consumer. It needed to have impact to create a point-of-difference against other competitors and over deliver in what would be a high-end price point.

To showcase the “Bright White Felt, Ever Opaque” label stock we created a Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine brand called Toujours. ‘Toujours’ translates to ‘ever and always’. This was the beginning of our storytelling to align with the face stock name.

Our creative direction was to create an uber, premium sparkling in the slender and unexpected oval bottle. We wanted the consumer to do a double take when viewing this for the first time. The look is elegant, textural and sophisticated. Working with the infinity symbol was the next step in our strategy to tell the story of ‘forever’.

Adding to the beautifully textured stock, we have further enhanced the premiumness with embellishments of blind emboss, matt high-build varnish and gold foil, plus an interesting label shape that begs for attention. The addition of the unusual long neck label was created to give producers a more practical, but impactful, alternative to a branded hood, which typically comes with long lead times and large orders.

We dare you not to pick it up.
