Student’s Vision for Typography Without Rules at Font Laboratory’s Interactive Exhibition

Font Laboratory is an interactive space where experiments with fonts take place. Every day we encounter typography on different objects and in different places, but what if letters are born not according to rules, but according to feelings?

After all, intuition brings us the best ideas in creativity. The Font Laboratory opens its first exhibition, where it will be able to provide unlimited opportunities in the production and study of symbols.

The exhibition has a specific program that guests can attend. The program includes master classes, design experiments, a show, illusion, sound. Master classes include the production of your own typography, the opportunity to create a strange, unusual and interesting letter, or even a whole font. Design experiments teach you to change, distort letters, showing what an interesting composition they can turn out to be. The show is shown on digital screens, which includes the history of letters and animation of symbols. Illusion is a variety of different effects produced with fonts and included in projects that are expositions at the exhibition. Sound is one of the exciting programs where the musical composition interacts with typography.

The visual constants of the Font Laboratory branding include the blue color scheme as a symbol of depth, infinity and boundlessness, which characterizes the brand with a deep study of typography and how broad this topic is. In addition, the corporate style has torn edges of objects, which symbolizes the inconsistency in the rules of writing letters. Another distinctive feature of the identity is the contrast and saturation of color, which shows the nature of the extensive topic of “typography” in the world.
