Student Tess Jordahl Introduces Fleur de Vigne Les Saisons as a Seasonally Driven Art Nouveau Wine Series

Fleur de Vigne is an elegant wine brand whose style is rooted in illustrative Art Nouveau flora. In the “Les Saisons” series, each bottle is inspired by and released during one of the four seasons, giving the collection a sense of rhythm and rarity. This seasonal framing connects the wines to the passing of time, the cycles of growth and change, and the mood each season evokes. Each season is offered in English and French to appeal to the American audience and the Art Nouveau influence. The first season, Winter (hiver) is a Cabernet Franc with Snow Drops as the floral element. Second is Spring (printemps), a Chardonnay paired with Tulips. Summer (été) is Sauvignon Blanc with Sunflowers. Lastly, Autumn (automne), is a Pinot Noir with Chrysanthemums as the illustration.

Fleur de Vigne speaks most directly to young to middle-aged wine drinkers who value quality, artistry, and subtle storytelling. It is ideal for those who want more than a bottle of wine. Consumers who want a bottle that feels like part of a story, a mood, a moment in time, or a piece of art. The brand’s emphasis on illustration and aesthetic sensibility positions it as accessible yet refined: a mid-price wine that nevertheless carries the soul of craft and design.

Visually, Fleur de Vigne leans heavily on hand-drawn botanical illustration: flowers, leaves, and organic forms rendered in a delicate, Art Nouveau inspired style. These flourishing, symmetrical floral motifs are a sophistacted contrast to the off-center label. This asymmetrical balance, with illustration in the center and typography wrapping to one side, gives each bottle a visual tension that adds elevation and intrigue. To let the illustrations breathe, the label design relies on simple, gridded typographic layouts and lines. The typographic combinations provide clarity and hierarchy, ensuring essential information remains interesting and legible.
