Student Tatiana Myravyova Designs Sorigami as a Mindful Morning Ritual in Visual Form

Sorigami is a conceptual rice crispbread brand born at the intersection of food, ritual, and design. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami and the gentle rhythm of morning routines, the project transforms a simple product into a thoughtful, emotional experience. The name “Sorigami” merges “so” (softness, sunrise, and soul) with “origami,” encapsulating the essence of calm beginnings and intentional design.

The core idea behind Sorigami is to turn the act of eating into a mindful ritual. In a world where mornings are often rushed and overstimulating, Sorigami invites the user to slow down, even briefly. The triangular form of both the crispbread and the packaging references not only the geometry of folded paper, but also the universally familiar shape of a halved sandwich—functional, portable, and comforting. But more than that, the triangle becomes a metaphor for harmony: a stable, balanced shape symbolic of calm.

The packaging structure is integral to the experience. The consumer doesn’t merely open a box—they unfold it. The process echoes origami itself, encouraging a tactile pause, a moment of quiet intention before the first bite. Each package includes a minimalist origami instruction—small enough not to interfere with the product but meaningful enough to serve as a meditative, creative exercise. Over time, this interaction becomes habitual, turning a breakfast into a small ritual of self-care and grounding.

Visually, the identity is calm and spacious. The color palette is inspired by early-morning skies—soft gradients of cream, mist green, and pale gold—reinforcing the connection to sunrise and gentle beginnings. Typography is understated and clean, designed to feel modern yet warm. The front of the pack uses subtle debossing and a folded texture to enhance the physicality of the brand. Meanwhile, the back shares nutritional info, ingredients, and a compact origami guide—celebrating simplicity and beauty in even the most functional details.

Sorigami speaks to a contemporary, emotionally intelligent audience. It’s designed for those who crave beauty in the everyday and believe that even the smallest routines can be transformative. This is not just a snack—it’s a moment to breathe, to fold, to begin again.

With Sorigami, we don’t just unfold packaging—we unfold mornings.
