Student Packaging Design Concept for Censored

Student Packaging Design Concept for Censored

The theme of sexual wellness is rarely shown properly, still hidden behind censorship and stereotypes. Package made of translucent plastic that forms outlines, but doesn’t expose the product. Thus, cet obscur objet du désir finds in itself a feeling of inaccessibility and intimacy, without disguise and hiding.

It is important to help women, and not make them ashamed of something completely normal. By selling a vibrator, you are not necessarily selling sex, but something that improves a woman’s relationship with herself.

An anonymous unrecognizable package in traditional packaging has become mainstream, like a red plastic glass of alcohol. It is necessary to change the perception of the product, because this basic need is the same as food and sleep.

The packaging is made of translucent plastic, which masks but does not hide the contents. The visual effect that is created is reminiscent of censorship and something forbidden, hence the naming Sensored. Additionally, the blur effect speaks of the vibration function. Instructions for use are printed on the sides.

Inside the package there is a fixing bottom and a power supply kit. On the back of the package there is a description and brief characteristics of the product. The colors of the packaging are the original colors of the devices.

Sexual well-being is essentially related to emotional, physical and relationship well-being. It’s about how attuned you are to yourself and the constant exploration of your desires that makes intimacy matter. It’s not just the absence of illness, dysfunction, or infirmity that, ironically, are some taboos in conversations about intimacy, romance, and relationships that are quite confusing. Because taboo is just fear. And like a shadow, fear can be overcome if you shed light on it.
