A museum identity project created as part of a module on developing typographic identities.
The main idea of this educational module was that any corporate identity can be built with typographic tools. That is, only thanks to a font with a certain character, as well as the correct use of typographic techniques, it is possible to reflect the uniqueness of the project and tell the viewer about its features.
The theme of the project: fantasy Art Nouveau museum.
In order to develop a corporate identity, a specific typeface had to be created to reflect the style and character of the works to be displayed in the museum. As Art Nouveau works are particularly decorative and ornamental, it was necessary to develop a font that speaks as much.
The font was hand-drawn using a marker in ink. It was then transferred to digital form. To create a more complete impression, the letter spacing was reduced in the logo. This allowed to create interesting interlacing glyphs. They mimic the ornamental elements of Art Nouveau.
The project system implies the connection of accent font and text canvas on souvenir carriers, as well as a more delicate use of the corporate mark on advertising and information carriers.
In this way a movable system of corporate identity has been formed, which allows the style to be scaled to different media without losing its identity. Where it is necessary, the style is delicate, it does not shout at the viewer, but serves as a small identifier. And on media that allow it, the style is bright, modern, and more talkative.
