Garden of Dreams is an immersive brand experience built around the craft and earthy magic of small Old World gin distilleries. The project began with a simple question: How can boutique gin be made to look as magical as it feels? From that question grew a full visual identity system, distilled like the gin it represents into an end result as delightful as it is inspired.
The brand’s foundation is Juniper Display, an original typeface drawn specifically for this project. Its design is rooted in authentic Art Nouveau forms: the ornamental curves, the sense of movement, the organic, human asymmetry. But rather than capturing just the appearance of era, Juniper Display captures its spirit. Art Nouveau was a movement born from the eternal optimism of the years that predated both World Wars—it was a time where anything was possible, when humanity was something to be celebrated, and the connection between pen and nature was heralded as the most beautiful of all. Today that bright-eyed optimism is something that must be found in smaller moments, like sharing a toast with life’s companions. Juniper Display encapsulates that truth: it balances elegance with earthiness, echoing the tension between the ethereal romance of Art Nouveau and the grounded, botanical nature of gin-making. Every curve and ligament was intentionally shaped to feel both cultivated and slightly wild, as if the letterforms themselves were growing vines.
Building on that typographic core, the packaging system translates the concept of infusion into an immersive, three-dimensional, layered experience. Each bottle is part of a larger family, unified by structure but differentiated through subtle shifts—accent colors, illustrated botanicals, and micro-details that reflect the ingredients housed within. The labels were designed to feel collected rather than manufactured, like picking up a bottle puts you in direct contact with the hands that brought the dream to life. Organic line work, delicate flourishes, and a dark yet rich color palette all serve to reinforce the sense of stepping into a dreamlike world where craftsmanship and fantasy meet.
While the aesthetic nods to Art Nouveau’s visual heritage, the overall identity stays firmly rooted in contemporary sensibilities. Clear hierarchy, neat lockups, and intentional restraint keep the system functional and modern, allowing the brand to breathe and feel immersive without overwhelming the senses.
Ultimately, Garden of Dreams is a celebration of transformation—of berries and botanicals materials into spirits, of historical dreams into modern interpretations, and of a simple drink into an experience that feels slow, intentional, and quietly enchanting.
