Student Concept Relic – an Egyptian Honey Infused Whisky

Student Concept Relic – an Egyptian Honey Infused Whisky

Relic is a single malt whisky liqueur which is infused with honey excavated from the tombs of ancient Egypt. The honey, originally discovered by British archaeologist Howard Carter, was preserved for decades before being infused with a single malt whisky and left to age for 50 years. The honey adds a sweet but clean finish to the whisky which makes it perfect for any way you want to drink it.

The word ‘relic’ means an object which has been saved from the past, something which is mirrored in the product itself with the origin of the honey having rich historical significance.

The design concept is inspired by mummy wrap, which was used to preserve Egyptian pharaohs when they were put to rest in their tombs. The tube’s perforated cover must be unwrapped, which slowly reveals the story and history of the whisky. The Relic can then be discovered once again…
