Student Branding Concept for Veterinary Clinic

A veterinary clinic is a large space that houses inpatient departments, an intensive care unit, an operating room, a laboratory, a quarantine zone, visual diagnostic departments, and others.

At the same time, veterinary clinics have a wide range of services, as they have various specialists on staff, such as an ophthalmologist, ratologist, cardiologist, dermatologist, anesthesiologist, endocrinologist, therapist, orthopedic surgeon. Each specialist comprehensively studies the aspects of his specialization and can choose the most correct method of treating a given pathology. Unlike general practitioners, who may not know the intricacies of a particular specialization, since the capabilities of the human brain are not unlimited.

The main goal of creating an identity for a veterinary clinic was to make it recognizable among competitors. It was important to create a clear and recognizable corporate style in the project, which would show the silhouettes of animals, the treatment of which is provided in the clinic. I focused on creating pictograms and printed media, as well as pasting various media. This decision was made to create merchandising for the brand, which is the main reason for good product sales.

The concept of my identity for a veterinary clinic is based on animal pictograms. The pictograms are based on a circle, which is disassembled into semicircles and quarters. It is from them that I assembled the silhouettes of animals. In the style, I use different color schemes. Each animal has its own color: a dog is red and brown, a pig is pink, a bird is blue and light blue, a mouse is gray and a cat is beige. This shows that each animal, although it has common similar shapes, is completely different due to the different colors inside. In the project, I also showed how pictograms can be distributed on different media: from business cards and small media to stickers on display windows and signs inside the clinic.

This project was completed as a student project at the HSE School of Design.
