This professional awareness and nationwide campaign titled ‘Stop violence against children’ was published in Denmark in April 2023. It was created for the brand: Børns Vilkår, by ad agency: Upland Studio. This Digital and Outdoor media campaign is related to the Public Interest, NGO industry and contains 5 media assets.
The campaign ‘Stop Violence Against Children’ aims to spread awareness of Børns Vilkår and their work and focus area. It is designed for both outdoor, printed, and digital media.
Børns Vilkår is a social humanitarian interest organization that works to improve the conditions, upbringing and development opportunities of children and young people in Denmark.
Statistics show that far too many children in Denmark are exposed to domestic violence and are left alone with their problems.
The awareness campaign is based on AI portraits of children, who have been exposed to violence, each of which refers to an informative statistic on domestic violence against children.
Each portrait is generated using AI technology to solve the ethical challenge of using child models in a campaign about violence. In this way, no children were harmed in the design process.
The headlines refer to, what the child did wrong to deserve the assault, seen from the parents’ perspective: ‘Noah just could have spoken nicely’. In this way, it is made clear that the violence occurs in ordinary everyday situations – and how the parents justify their violent actions to themselves.
In April 2023 the campaign was published, and the outdoor part of the campaign could be seen at all train stations in Denmark.
