Stingray Digital Presence Evolves Through Kind’s Structured and Purpose Led Website Design

Stingray Digital Design: Website

Where Human Insight Elevates Laser Precision
Stingray is one of Europe’s most innovative companies, recently acquired by Novo Nordisk. As the company accelerated in scale and ambition, the need for a digital presence that kept pace with its evolution became clear. With demand for its laser-based lice treatment growing, Stingray needed a platform that offered transparency, strengthened employer branding, and unified its message.

The goal was to create a website that not only reflected Stingray’s precision-led brand vision, but also revealed the people behind the technology—engineers, operators, and innovators who combine responsibility, curiosity, and craftsmanship. A platform that made complex technology accessible, and an organisation relatable: a place where skilled people and purposeful innovation come together to safeguard the future of aquaculture.

Approach
The design direction followed the foundations of the new brand identity: Scandinavian clarity, disciplined structure, and a restrained visual language built on dark neutrals with the signature laser-green accent. This green, taken directly from the Node’s light source, highlights key interactions and subtly reinforces the product’s core technology.
The layout was built as a modular system that supports a clean hierarchy and easy scanning. Horizontal dividers act as subtle references to depth and the underwater horizon, adding structure without visual noise. The navigation is deliberately simple, prioritising transparency and ease of use.

Laser-Focused on People and Precision
The homepage opens not with technology, but with people.

A cinematic brand film and intimate employee portraits ground the experience in the human stories behind Stingray — the hands, minds, and values that shape the technology long before a single beam of light touches the water.

Only then do we introduce the product.

Every micro-interaction, every quiet transition, and the precisely choreographed loading animation mirrors the mindset that created the Node: engineering defined by intention, not excess. Controlled. Focused. Purposeful.

Photography and film were chosen to convey a sense of unmistakable reality — real fish farms, real operators, real sea, and real weather. Real life.

By showing the world as the team sees it, we root the brand in lived experience rather than staged abstraction, allowing technology and humanity to meet in the same frame.

The CMS was built to support this living story, giving the Stingray team the ability to evolve their narrative as the company grows — quickly, confidently, and with the same precision that defines their work.

Solution
The finished website presents Stingray with clarity, precision, and human warmth. Built for the company’s two primary audiences — current and future employees, as well as customers across the aquaculture industry — the site intentionally splits its focus. One part highlights the groundbreaking laser technology behind the Node; the other honours the people whose expertise, care, and ingenuity make it all possible.

The Node and its operating method are explained through structured content, simplified diagrams, and a visual rhythm that balances focused detail with moments of calm. The calibrated use of laser-green, the strict layout grid and the restrained gradients give the site a distinct identity aligned with Stingray’s precision-driven brand foundations.

The homepage sets the tone by opening with film and photography, establishing an immediate emotional connection before transitioning into the technical story. Warm portraits and real environments show the people behind the innovation, reinforcing a culture defined by responsibility, craftsmanship, and care.

The careers section strengthens employer branding by presenting Stingray’s values, ambitions, and working environment with an honesty that attracts the right talent. In pairing human stories with advanced engineering, the website reflects Stingray’s essence: a company where precision meets compassion, and where technology is elevated by the people who create and operate it.

Result
The website strengthened Stingray’s digital presence at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth. Stakeholders highlighted improved clarity, strong brand alignment, and a simplified explanation of a complex technology. The updated structure has made product communication easier, while the emphasis on people and film has enhanced employer branding efforts.

The site now functions as a reliable, scalable platform for the next stage of Stingray’s development—communicating a precise, responsible technology brand through a digital experience built with the same attention to detail as the product itself.
