The Met is more than just a pub. It’s the heart of campus nightlife and a go-to hangout for students looking to unwind, connect, and make memories. This rebrand brings a bold, fun, and memorable identity that teases the energy of a great night out. With a vibrant new logo, dynamic visuals, and custom illustrations, every element was designed to create a brand as unforgettable as the nights spent there with friends.
To balance out the vibrant colors and playful illustrations, we leaned into a more candid, lo-fi vibe for the photography and image direction. The goal was to create a visual atmosphere where students could recognize themselves. Something real, a bit raw, and social-media ready. The kind of moment you’d casually capture on your phone and end up seeing on the pub’s feed or website the next day.
The Met sits in a neighborhood filled with more traditional, old-school pubs, so it was important to carve out a vibe that felt fresh, youthful, and inclusive. The brand needed to reflect a place where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re there to grab a bite or a drink, play pool, or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. Not all students on campus are of drinking age, so the experience had to go beyond just the bar. It had to feel like the kind of place where anyone can come to relax, have fun, and feel part of the crowd.
We also wanted to inject more personality into the brand’s ecosystem through illustration. These were used across merch, signage, and event materials, with references to the campus mascot and fun, quirky visuals that reflect the energy and diversity of student life. Everything was designed to help The Met stand out as a go-to spot on campus. It’s bold when it needs to be, relaxed when it counts, and always easy to recognize and remember.
