are increasingly paying attention to food and beverages that help them adapt to climate change. Over the past five years, beverages containing terms like “electrolyte” and “hydration” have gained more attention and are better understood by consumers.
In this context, SORB collaborated with Brandberry Strategy&Design on packaging design before introducing its electrolyte-containing beverage product to Turkish consumers. The goal was to help consumers fight hot weather and dehydration.
This product category is relatively new to the Turkish market, with very few competitors. Therefore, the packaging design had to clearly and effectively communicate the product’s benefits, usage, and areas of application. It was essential that the design be both eye-catching and informative.
SORB was created to optimize the benefits of water, ensuring that the energy from water is absorbed by the body in the most effective way. Thanks to the electrolytes it contains, the product enables the body to absorb water efficiently. The electrolytes—Sodium, Chloride, Potassium, and Magnesium—help the body retain water healthily, ensuring all the benefits of hydration. Additionally, SORB contains Vitamin C, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12, with each serving providing a significant portion of the daily vitamin requirement.
The packaging design had to convey this critical information in a clear and effective hierarchy, forming the essence of the project.
The packaging, crafted by Brandberry Strategy&Design, seamlessly merges vibrant aesthetics with functionality. SORB’s packaging design places hydration at its core, embodying a natural, healthy essence while utilizing a dynamic color palette. Through the thoughtful use of clean, legible typography with a focus on balanced spacing, harmonious proportions, and visual clarity, alongside iconic yet intuitive icons, and a well-balanced composition, the design not only captures attention but also communicates the product’s key benefits with clarity. This visually compelling approach ensures the packaging resonates with the target audience, driving both engagement and brand recognition.
