The name itself is a playful take on the Tamil word for chocolate, “Saaklet,” shortened and stylized as S’KLAT. It’s rooted in tradition but carries a contemporary edge, just like our chocolates.

At the heart of our brand is a deep connection to Tamil culture, which we’ve woven into every little detail—starting with our logo. Inspired by Kolam, the intricate rangoli designs drawn at Tamil homes’ entrances, it’s a symbol of prosperity, warmth, and everyday artistry. Just as Kolam is crafted with care and precision, so are our chocolates—handcrafted with the finest ingredients sourced from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.

We knew from the start that we didn’t want to simply show photographs of ingredients. Everyone’s seen cocoa beans, nuts, and spices before, but we wanted to highlight their true essence—the richness, the depth, the craftsmanship that goes into every piece. So, we hand-painted each key ingredient, turning them into miniature works of art. These illustrations are a central part of our packaging, making every box feel special, personal, and unmistakably S’KLAT.

Our chocolates come in two distinct packaging styles. The first is vibrant and earthy, featuring our hand-painted ingredient illustrations in their natural colors—a tribute to the raw beauty of the elements we use. The second is our luxe edition, designed especially for gifting. Here, the same ingredients are reimagined in fine linework, embossed with gold foiling, adding a touch of elegance and grandeur.
