Siam 1928 – Voyager, the third collection of this Thai perfume brand derived from the concept of sustainability and relevance to the modern world. This time the brand brings its perfume making heritage into the contemporary context using simple and modern structure, and most importantly, sustainable upcycle and recycle materials in the making of its packaging.

After observing the needs and the insights of the new generation of consumers. We learn that the new generations perceive luxury through experience more than the objects, and sustainability is one of their life’s missions. That’s why we would like to answer their calls for sustainability through the design of this collection’s packaging.

Siam 1928 – Voyager box packaging is made of upcycled corrugated sheets from the leftovers of other printing processes. It is made of 100% recycled rigid box paper along with soy ink that is non-toxic. The whole packaging is fully recyclable and plastic free.

The aesthetic of Siam 1928 – voyager collection comes from the simplicity of the raw materials that are untainted by colors or varnishing. The shape of the packaging is simple yet strong, modern and elegant, even though it is made of the materials that were once the only trash from the printing process.

However, Siam 1928-Voyager still has its stand point in bringing Thai perfume making heritage into the contemporary context to globalize its cultural value. Apart from the traditional Thai fragrance making technique, Thai poem is put on the packaging as a brand graphic element to tell the story of each perfume.

We design the packaging for this product by understanding the generation’s needs that good and beautiful packaging experience should also comes together with sustainability. Siam 1928 – Voyager’s packaging creates a very low impact on the environment. It is the brand’s wish to inspire other fashion brands to create more sustainable packaging in the future.
