Branding Project for Italian Flavors for Japan
This branding project was developed for an importer of authentic Italian food products in Japan, specializing in premium olives, traditional spaghetti pasta, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
The goal was to create a visual identity that captures the essence of Italy its rich culinary tradition, artisanal quality, and timeless elegance while appealing to Japanese consumers. We combined warm, earthy color palettes with refined typography and design elements inspired by Italian culture to convey authenticity and sophistication.
The brand communicates a simple yet powerful message: bringing the true taste of Italy to your table. From packaging to promotional materials, every detail was designed to highlight the heritage and superior quality of the products, fostering trust and connection with food lovers in Japan.
Packaging Design Concept
For the olive line, we chose a classic glass jar with a clean label, a widely recognized standard in the market that ensures operational efficiency and product familiarity.
For spaghetti, we followed the premium packaging conventions in Japan, where high-value pasta is typically presented in paper cartons, distinguishing it from lower-cost options sold in PE plastic film.
For Parmigiano Reggiano, the cheese’s distinct triangular shape inspired a custom kraft paper carton. This kraft-based identity, printed in a single-color palette, was developed as a unifying visual language across the entire packaging line, creating a consistent and authentic brand presence.
