Screencrib – Helping Visualise a Film-Funding Revolution

In-Col have developed a malleable visual identity for a revolutionary new platform

An alternative to traditional film-financing, The Screencrib proposition is revolutionary in concept and as such, required an identity and language fitting of its character. In-Col worked closely with the founders to create a system that reflects the brands values of inclusivity and disruption, from a considered graphic expression to a multi-functional typeface with vast language support, built for its ambitions of a globally connected film community.

Set to launch in the coming months, In-Col have devised a brand identity fitting of Screencrib’s revolutionary proposition. The core set of shape expressions form the basis of Screencrib’s ‘binocular vision’; where our eyes see two images of the same object before then forming one image. This sensory perception is how the brand system is intended to be applied through the use of the following shape expressions and their half/quarter cuts.

The identity they have developed considers the three core demographics of Screencrib user (Investor, Filmmaker, Audience), with varying degrees of image manipulation being employed when speaking to them.

Iain Worgan, creative partner at In-Col, explains, “we needed to create a flexible system that would work as well in a B2B environment as it would as a consumer facing brand. The system allows any output to be stripped back, or built up, in multiple ways to speak to these different audiences.”

Screencrib will launch their platform during the summer of 2023, offering audiences the opportunity to invest in a breadth of films and filmmaking talent.
