An 18 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey by High ’N Wicked (HNW), distilled by Noel Sweeney, requires a package worthy of this rare liquid. Noel Sweeney is regarded by many to be one of the most important and influential distillers in Irish Whiskey. Noel was involved in the selection of each barrel released.
Watermark’s job was two-fold: maintain brand continuity with previous releases in the HNW line, but also elevate this package to the $500 price point. Continuity was achieved through a similar round label and tax tape closure to previous releases. Elevation was achieved through a more elegant bottle that builds on the taper of the main line bottles, a pewter neck label, custom engraved bar top and of course, it’s box.
On the Saints & Scholars pewter neck label, a monogram specific to this release was designed to signify it’s elite placement within the HNW line up of products.
The custom bar top is engraved along the outer edge with Saints & Scholars in gold type, and the HNW logo engraved into the top.
This beautiful bottle is then laid into it’s gold-backed inset inside a custom wrapped box in a beautiful, dark Irish green. The box features the label in golds and coppers embossed on the front of the box, as in most cases, the box would be sold sealed.
Upon opening the box, the story begins on the left with the Irish coastline visualizing where this liquid was found. To the right of the map details about the liquid are offered in gold foil. Below this, a card is inserted to share the details unique to this particular barrel.
Finally, you come upon the inset bottle. A beautiful copper ribbon, evoking the Irish flag, helps you extract the package so you can finally imbibe and enjoy this distinctive offering.
