Overview
Dana Kitchen is a business located in Qatar that offers developed and varied popular cuisine.
“Sadu” and the palm tree” were used to express the ancient traditional crafts practiced by Bedouin women in Qatar and the Gulf region. It provides the basic needs of the people of the desert, such as clothing, housing and furniture. The primary materials for Sadu are sourced from the local environment, such as camel hair, sheep wool or goat hair. Bedouin women, in turn, are able to transform those raw materials into textiles of beauty, precision and creativity.

Origin of the word
The word “Sadu” is a name coined by the people of the desert, it describes a specific style of weaving by horizontally extending wool yarn that is weaved on a loom We aimed, through the design of the package, to solidify the “Dana Kitchen” brand in people’s minds by creating a design that reflects the modernized Sadu weaving culture and linking it to the brand’s values of generosity and excellence that are characteristic of the people of Qatar.

Sadu and other traditional weaving crafts are customary in many countries of the world. In Qatar, it is a craft as ancient as the nomadic groups that have lived on its soil for millennia. It represents a leading financial craft made by women and is an outstanding example of adaptability and creativity.

Nomadic life in Qatar was characterized by customs, and traditions, dictated by the nature of the desert environment. This lifestyle reflects the ability of the Bedouin people to adapt to the harsh environment, in addition to making the most out of the natural resources available to them. Sadu weaving is a creative craft, handed down to the Qatari women from their mothers and grandmothers. It is still preserved to this day, and has been updated to suit the requirements of the current time.
