The Ambiura project emerged from the need to create a solid, timeless, and representative visual identity for a new lighting line commissioned by Grupo Marriott in Ecuador. More than an aesthetic exercise, the objective was to develop a comprehensive brand system that merges innovation, functionality, and cutting-edge design, establishing a unique and lasting presence within the high-end lighting sector.

From its conceptual foundation, Ambiura was envisioned around the idea of light as the essential, universal element that defines and gives purpose to every luminaire. Its name results from the fusion of the words “ambience” and “aura,” evoking the emotional and transformative power of lighting to define spatial experiences, influence mood, and elevate the perception of any environment.

The branding process involved strategic brand definition, the development of a distinctive and memorable logo, a refined color palette (beige, black, and gray) selected for its neutrality, elegance, and adaptability, and the use of a functional yet contemporary typeface that enhances readability while reinforcing the brand’s sophisticated personality.

The visual identity draws inspiration from the simplicity and intentionality of switching on a light—an everyday gesture that reflects clarity, purpose, and minimalism. This metaphor informed every design decision, from logo construction to layout systems, symbolizing the elegance of design through restraint and precision.

Ambiura is not just a lighting brand; it is a curated and premium lighting experience tailored for architects, designers, and clients who value design integrity, exclusivity, and a refined sense of timeless elegance.
